Palmtop Computing Tips

Palmtop computers, HP 200LX. I have been using a Palmtop PC for about four years now, and I think it's the greatest thing that was ever Palmtop Computing - A+ Computer Solutions, Boise, Idaho invented. It's not just a small PC, it is something else all together. It's hard to describe to someone who hasn't tried it, but there's something almost magical about having my important information at my fingertips at all times.

I've been going to grad school for about three years now, and I have typed over 500 pages of class notes and research papers on that little keyboard. I like the capability of being able to dash off a couple pages on an assignment when the inspiration hits me. I like having class notes that are actually legible instead of scribbled hieroglyphics.

These benefits are rather obvious, but what I never anticipated was having the ability to quickly and discreetly look up supporting facts during a class debate. That little machine has helped me to look smarter than I really am on more than one occasion. If you haven't tried a Palmtop PC of some sort, you owe it to yourself to try. What type is best for you? All I can say is, "it depends." My only absolute requirement is the ability to backup data to another source. If it can't do that, don't waste your money. I can honestly say that I will never be without some sort of Palmtop device as long as I live.

If I were forced to give up all but one of my PCs (I have 6 all together) I would give up my fancy laptops and powerful desktops and keep my trusty Palmtop.
